Better Homes & Gardens | DIY Wallpaper
For some people, wallpaper will NEVER make an appearance in their home. Some think it’s too expensive, too tacky, too old fashioned, or too complicated to hang. But if you’re someone who loves the way wallpaper looks, but you don’t want to spend all that money or hang it yourself, you can still get a cute design and pattern on a focal wall in your home for cheap!
For this DIY, you’ll need a few gallons of paint, a stencil (any size or shape you want), some stencil adhesive, and a foam stencil brush. You can either do this to a wall that’s already been painted, to add a little pop of design, or you can give the whole room a make-over and repaint the walls. After your paint is dry, get your stencils ready.
Use the stencil adhesive to temporarily attach them to the wall. You can either plan out your entire wall, or paint as you go. After the stencils are attached, dip your foam stencil brush in your paint and dab it onto some newspaper before you paint the stencil (this way you won’t have paint oozing and dripping everywhere). And there you have it, a DIY wallpaper wall!

Better Homes & Gardens | Chicken Feed Bin Organizer

Yet another great flea market find! This used to be a chicken feed bin. You can leave it the way it is, to keep the rustic feel, or you can paint and decorate. You can use it to organize kitchen items, office supplies, perfumes and makeup, washcloths, etc. You can set it on your counter top/desktop or dresser, or even hang it on the wall for some extra vertical organization.

The longer one shown above is a slightly different kind of chicken feed bin. Use it as a table runner to add a unique centerpiece to hold decorative rocks and vases of flowers. You could also use this as a dish holder for decorative plates, mail sorter storage, or even to hold DVDs.

Better Homes & Gardens | Bird Bath Storage

There are hundreds of bird bath designs out there, use some inside your home to serve as tables or storage centers. This particular one was used next to the bathtub to store bath salts, wash cloths, soap, towels, and lotions. You could also use bird baths in the bedroom for bedside organization or inside closets to hold scarves, wallets, perfumes, or odds and ends. Paint and decorate the bird baths to add a personal touch.

Better Homes & Gardens | Wallpaper Chair
This is perfect for anyone who has chairs that have some damage to them, are outdated, or just have zero wow factor. Using small swatches of wallpaper, you can design dining room chairs or dorm room desk chairs that match your décor perfectly. Vinyl & vinyl-coated wallpapers work best here, and are affordable and durable.

Country Living | Storage Shelf
I’m currently updating my out-of-use dining room into a home office and study room while I’m in college. Needless to day, I need cheap, quick, & easy ideas for storage solutions to help along the way. I love this idea because I have an entire cupboard full of empty glass jars that I just couldn’t bring myself to throw away. I plan to make this ASAP & fill the jars with paper clips, erasers, thumb tacks, and whatever else I can shove in them.
All you need to do is attach the lids of jars to the bottom of the shelf, using super glue. Just un-screw the jars from the lids when you need something, and screw them back into the lids when you’re finished.
